  • Description:Our client, a franchised dealership based in Wolverhampton are seeking to appoint a Technician/Workshop Controller to join their team.
     
    The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will be two-fold:
     
    Workshop Control:
    As a Workshop Controller you will have responsibility for ensuring that workshop practices operate effectively on a daily basis.
    You will understand how to effectively schedule and allocate work, to ensure that it is completed within the required timeframe and by appropriately skilled team members; you will monitor the progression of vehicles through the workshop, by doing so, will proactively address any potential issues; you will ensure that your team members coordinate effectively and professionally with one another, and that Apprentices are appropriately supported and developed within the workshop environment; you will collate and monitor any required documentation, ensuring its accuracy.
    Technician:
    As a Technician, you will be fully competent in the servicing and repairing of vehicles to the highest Manufacturer standards. As well as technical competence in the mechanics of a vehicle, you will also have thorough knowledge of the electrical components and be comfortable with using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults. You will have a positive 'can do' attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
    You will have previous experience within a similar role with similar responsibilities.
     
    £25,000 + bonus
